Coincidence, I think not

No Encounter Is Ever a Coincidence

Life is a beautiful, winding journey, filled with unexpected meetings and meaningful connections. As I reflect on the people who have crossed my path—whether for a fleeting moment or a lasting season—I’m reminded that each encounter has shaped my story in its own unique way.

Some offer lessons, others bring joy, inspiration, or support. And sometimes, we are the ones placed in someone else’s life to spark change or healing.

I truly believe no one enters our life by accident. Every interaction, no matter how big or small, carries purpose. When we begin to see life through that lens, we become more present, more grateful, and more connected to the people around us.

So the next time someone new enters your life, pause and reflect—what might they be here to teach you? Or what light might you bring to them?

I had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people at RUNWAY for RED, a benefit for St Helena Hospital in the Napa Valley. Thank you to my friend, Kelly Brophy, who I had not seen in many years for inviting me to this beautiful, heartfelt event. It was a stunning afternoon for a great cause. The young man in pink on the right spoke eloquently about his health issues; and the twin women, in the middle, Brie Bella and Nikki Bella, I later found out are very popular WWE wrestlers.
