Where to Stay

AirBnB, VRBO and Ronival Rentals, Cabo Villas and others.

We stayed at Garza Blanca next door to the All Inclusive Le Blanc Resort along the corridor called Los Cabos. (Other favorites: Las Ventanas Al Paraiso as seen in my coffee table book, Contained Beauty.)

The Tourist Corridor is a 20-mile (33 km) swath of sun-drenched beaches, world-class golf courses, and luxurious resorts linking the cities of Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. The setting is stunning, with cactus-studded hills harmonizing with the aquamarine waters of the Sea of Cortez. Los Cabos includes many 5 Star Resorts, including an abundance of vacation rentals to choose from. Many of the hotels are All-Inclusive, and some are designated “Adults Only”. Le Blanc is an Adult Only, All Inclusive, Resort, much quieter than Garza Blanca for example, with loud music at the pool, big parties, weddings a large celebrations. Both are very nice, it just depends on who and home many are in your party, and how you like to travel.

Why choose a Villa or a Resort

If you commit to an All Inclusive you will want to dine on property, similar to a cruise. If you opt to try new restaurants off site, renting a VRBO, AirBnB or booking through another luxury property rental site may be the better choice. We go back and forth. If you are seeking an easy, relaxing vacation, with a butler, concierge, and planned activities, an all-inclusive might be the way to go. If you want to “go off” property more often, try new restaurants and do not mind planning your day (which takes effort) renting a condo, home or grand villa might be the best choice for that specific trip. You will enjoy both options, Cabo is a beautiful place to explore.

Be sure to be in town on a Thursday. Thursday is the San Jose Del Cabo ART WALK; vibrant, lively and exciting. It had been 15 years since we visited the East side of the coastal corridor. When we visited the first time it was quaint, but very small and not yet developed. Today it is filled with vibrant restaurants and shops, yet the stunning architecture I love so much still in tact.

What To See And Do

Book a spa treatment in your home, at the resort on on the beach.

World Renowned Golf. Are you going to bring your golf clubs? Plan ahead and contact your concierge if you are seeking a specific course. Check out YouTube for a visual journey prior to your trip.

Active Activities: Ride A Camel, Off Roading, Deep Sea Fishing, Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Jet Skiing, Paddle Boarding, Surfing, Horseback Riding or Zip Lining

Rent A Yacht

This is one of my favorite activities in Cabo. You can book through your hotel concierge or make your own arrangements. Plan to head into town early—specifically to downtown Cabo San Lucas—to stroll, explore, and soak up the lively atmosphere. Cabo San Lucas also features a rare stretch of swimmable beach, unlike most of the corridor where swimming is restricted due to strong undertows. (Fun fact: Cabo sits on a fault line, so always be aware and stay safe.)

The marina is where you’ll board your boat, with plenty of options to choose from—luxurious yachts, classic sailboats, catamarans, glass-bottom boats, and even eco-friendly electric vessels. Cabo is known for its energetic nightlife, including iconic spots like Squid Row and Father’s Office, but it’s also a hub for unforgettable ocean experiences.

When we visited in December, we were lucky to spot whales throughout the week. One unforgettable moment was a close encounter while sailing—absolutely magical! Most boat tours include lunch, drinks, and snorkel gear, making it a relaxing and adventure-filled day on the water.

A few restaurants we enjoyed although there are so many more.

NAO San Jose Del Cabo | We had the opportunity to meet the owner and chef and the food was incredible and so reasonably priced. Tell him we sent you! (NAO, inspired by the historic ship of the same name, embarks on a gastronomic journey to uncover the essence and vital elements of the region, infused with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences.)

Lumbre, San Jose Del Cabo | Michelin Star | ACRE, Flora, La Lupita, and so many more.

Roam the narrow streets of San Jose Del Cabo, and take in the vibrant culture that still remains today. Downtown Cabo has lost much of the originality and reasons we love to travel.

“Immersing oneself into the culture and beauty of the landscape and architecture, including the stray cats and vibrant shops, simply takes my breathe away.”

Whenever Adam and I travel, we make it a point to visit local real estate offices and connect with the area’s agents. Exploring the local market is always part of our itinerary—it’s how we learn about the community and tour the properties firsthand. On many trips, we come across a Corcoran office, like the one here in San Jose del Cabo, where I even recorded an episode of my podcast. I stood for the entire hour just to capture the stunning artwork behind me on camera! San Jose is absolutely beautiful—I can’t wait to return.

And thank you to our local Corcoran office for allowing me to broadcast from their beautiful office! (Don’t miss the cute cafe and well priced boutique on the first floor.)

Cabo is definitely a place to make longtime memories with friends and family. I look forward to hearing about your trip!

Cabo Crew Party of 11

Here are a few snapshots from past adventures. The large group photo captures Chase and his friends celebrating their high school graduation with a trip to Cabo—Adam and I were the designated chaperones for the week!

To the right is a photo of me with Jennifer, from our newest Corcoran affiliate in Cabo, just before we headed out to tour real estate developments along the corridor. Her family developed the stunning Chileno Bay. This photo was taken in the elegant lobby of our hotel, Le Blanc Resort & Spa.

And below… Eduardo!

If you’d like to meet one of our dearest friends—we’d be happy to connect you! We met Eduardo in Puerto Vallarta during one of our first trips after Chase and Bianca had moved out, and the empty nest was hitting hard. Finding new experiences and meeting wonderful people became essential for my well-being, and Eduardo was a true gift during that time.

He was working as a concierge when we met, and we instantly clicked. Today, he’s still at Vidanta in Nuevo Vallarta, a destination resort we absolutely love and highly recommend. Eduardo even flew to Mexico City to help celebrate my 60th birthday—he’s truly one of a kind!

About The Blogger: Endlessly curious and deeply passionate about writing and storytelling, Debbi thrives on discovering new places, connecting with people, and immersing herself in diverse cultures. She’s especially drawn to architecture—particularly the timeworn and weathered structures that whisper stories of the past and tug at her heart.

Her favorite moments are in the quiet of early mornings—walking by the sea, or strolling a city neighborhood still in thought, or at home with her headset on, soaking in positive affirmations. It’s in these peaceful rituals that her inspiration takes flight.
